Free iQ Abuse Manager Access for Registrars Using IWF Feeds

In October 2025, Public Interest Registry (PIR) announced that they are extending their IWF sponsorship program to registrars. The program, which has already helped 30 registries protect more than 53 million domains across 60 TLDs, removes the cost barrier to accessing Internet Watch Foundation's CSAM detection tools.

At iQ, we are removing the remaining barriers by providing free access to iQ Abuse Manager for registrars participating in this program. No cost. No complex setup. Just secure, turnkey access to tools that help keep children safe online.

Building on Proven Success

The registry results speak for themselves. Since PIR launched this sponsorship in February 2024, 30 registries have actively used IWF's Domain Alerts and TLD Hopping List to detect and disrupt CSAM on their domains. The network effect became clear quickly: when criminals cannot easily find safe harbor at participating registries, they have fewer places to operate.

Now registrars can join this effort. PIR's sponsorship provides free access to IWF's tools. iQ provides the secure platform to use them, also at no cost for registrars in the program.

Why Registrar Participation Matters

We have seen the impact with registries. Thirty organizations protecting 53 million domains. Effective detection and disruption of CSAM operations. Measurable progress in making the internet safer for children.

The more registrars who participate, the smaller the ecosystem becomes for criminals. This is about protecting domains you manage AND strengthening the entire industry through collective action. When criminals cannot find safe harbor anywhere, they cannot operate.

The iQ Platform for Registrars

PIR's sponsorship gives registrars access to IWF's detection tools. iQ builds on this foundation by providing a comprehensive platform that makes working with this sensitive data efficient and secure. For registries participating in the program, we built iQ Abuse Manager to streamline the entire workflow. We are now extending the same platform to registrars at no cost.

Secure by Design
We built our IWF integration with strict access control and end-to-end encryption at its core. IWF data is only accessible by authorized users with explicit CSAM permissions, which default to OFF for all users. Only system administrators can grant these permissions. Users without proper authorization cannot access IWF reports and receive an error message if they try. You maintain complete control over who can view this sensitive information.

Complete Workflow
When a domain you manage matches the IWF list, you receive a notification. The email contains no sensitive details, just an alert. After logging in with two-factor authentication, authorized users access the full case details: domain information, WHOIS data, DNS records, and structured evidence. Everything needed for quick action and complete documentation.

No Setup Complexity
Once you're approved as an IWF member, we enable the feed through your Abuse Manager's Threat Intelligence Marketplace. There's no complex configuration. No ongoing management overhead. The technical complexity is handled for you.

Getting Started

The program is now available for registrars. Interested registrars can begin the application process today. Getting access is straightforward:

Contact iQ directly at sales@iq.global, and we will help coordinate your IWF membership application and setup.

Or contact IWF at members@iwf.org.uk and mention you would like to use iQ Abuse Manager. IWF will coordinate with us once you are approved.

We are proud to support this industry initiative. Through this collaboration, we create an internet where CSAM operations simply cannot function. That is not just an aspiration. It becomes achievable when the industry works together.
